Here is the user guide instructions for the Light My Bricks Brick Brick Omega Hat Light Kit. Although we have installed this light kit as pictured above, you can install lights to your Brick Hat however you like.

- 4x Flashing White 15cm Bit Lights
- 1x 6-Port Expansion Board
- 1x Flat Battery Pack (requires 2x CR2032 Batteries)
Other bits ’n’ pieces required:
- Trans Coloured Lego Plates
- Tape to secure cables behind front plate
Important things to note:
Laying cables in between and underneath bricks
Cables can fit in between and underneath LEGO® bricks, plates, and tiles providing they are laid correctly between the LEGO® studs. Do NOT forcefully join LEGO® together around cables; instead ensure they are laying comfortably in between each stud.
CAUTION: Forcing LEGO® to connect over a cable can result in damaging the cable and light.
Connecting cable connectors to Expansion Boards
Take extra care when inserting connectors to ports of Expansion Boards. Connectors can be inserted only one way. With the expansion board facing up, look for the soldered “=” symbol on the left side of the port. The connector side with the wires exposed should be facing toward the soldered “=” symbol as you insert into the port. If a plug won’t fit easily into a port connector, do not force it.
Incorrectly inserting the connector can can result in bent pins inside the port or possible overheating of the expansion board when connected.
Installing Bit Lights under LEGO® bricks and plates.
When installing Bit Lights under LEGO® pieces, ensure they are placed the correct way up (Yellow LED component exposed). You can either place them directly on top of LEGO® studs or in between.
OK, Let’s Begin!
Instructions for installing this kit
1.) To start, remove the front plate from the hat.
To install the Flashing White Bit Lights, place them over any of the brick studs with the LED facing upward. Secure the light in place by connecting a trans coloured LEGO plate over the top.
You can install Bit Lights anywhere you like as long as they are placed over a stud and secured down using a LEGO plate. You can also connect bricks over the top of the wires to hide them, just ensure the wires are neatly laid in between studs.
2.) If you’d like to install our version of the light kit, then install the 4x Flashing White 15cm Bit Lights to corners as pictured below. You can use any trans coloured plate to connect over the top of the light.
3.) Turn the plate over and then take each of the two cables on each side and then twist them around each other so they form one cable each.
4.) Take the 6-Port Expansion Board and then connect all 4 connectors from each of the lights into the ports on the expansion board.
5.) Take the Flat Battery Pack and insert 2x CR2032 Batteries into it. Connect the battery pack cable into a spare port on the expansion board.
6.) Turn on battery pack on to verify all lights are working OK.
7.) Use tape to secure the expansion board to the bottom of the plate, then place the battery pack in the middle of the plate with the on/off switch facing up. This is so we can easily access the switch to turn on the lights later on when the plate is attached to the hat.
8.) Use more tape to secure down the battery pack as well as the wires.
9.) Attach the plate back to the front of the hat then turn the light kit on and ENJOY!
